As per industry reports hints Hyundai may use a heavily localised version of the global Inster EV platform instead of simply converting the Petrol Exter. Battery options likely to be around 42 kWh and 49 kWh, while power output may range from 95 bhp to 113 bhp.
This also hints that rather than chasing huge battery numbers, Hyundai expected to prioritise everyday usability. Current reports point towards a 300 to 355 km real world driving range, with some reports suggesting even higher certified figures. DC fast charging support is also likely to be added, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in well under an hour under suitable charging conditions.
