India’s flex-fuel motorcycle race get new momentum with Yamaha entering the segment through the New FZ Blue Flex Fuel. The model is officially launch on 10 July 2026 with pricing at ₹1.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This New FZ Blue Flex packs a 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that runs on E20 to E85 ethanol blends that generated 11.5bhp and 12.8Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Well, the fuel efficiency likely to drop on E85 compared to E20, the bike is offer in Metallic Black through select Yamaha Blue Square dealerships across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, & Tamil Nadu. After the Hero MotoCorp To Launch First Flex Fuel Bike In India, now the Yamaha launches FZ Flex Fuel as an updated the motorcycle’s with E20 to E85 compatibility that allows it to run on fuel containing 20% to 85% ethanol. Yamaha now equipped the bike with ethanol compatible engine and fuel-system components to improve durability and corrosion resistance. The launch supports India’s ethanol-blending programme aims at reducing crude oil imports and promoting cleaner transportation without compromising everyday usability.

Yamaha officially launch the FZ Blue Flex in India on 10 July 2026 at an introductory price of ₹1,24,240 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle is available exclusively in a Metallic Black Colour scheme featuring dedicated FZ Blue Flex graphics and black alloy wheels.
And bookings are also open online and at authorised Blue Square dealerships with a ₹2,000 token amount while deliveries is also started in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu where ethanol infrastructure likely to expand first.

More than the design, Yamaha’s the engineering under fuel tank makes the FZ Blue Flex stand out. Yamaha specially tuned its 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, fuel-injected engine to seamlessly run on E20 to E85 ethanol blends. The motor develops 11.7 PS (8.6 kW) at 7,250 rpm and 12.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm, working alongside a 5-speed gearbox and a 12-litre fuel tank.
Yamaha also claims a mileage of near 50 kmpl, although real-world efficiency expected to dip on E85 because ethanol carries lower energy density. Compared to the standard petrol FZ, output is down by about 0.7 PS and 0.5 Nm but the focus remains on smooth, reliable everyday performance. With this packing is it compatible to just launch Yamaha Aerox-E in different segment.
