Tata Motors expanding its premium electric portfolio by reviving the legendary Tata Sierra as a futuristic EV, nearly three decades after the original SUV became an icon on Indian roads. Sierra.ev make its global debut on 30 June 2026 with blend of heritage-inspired design, advanced electric mobility, and next-generation technology.

It offers a real-world driving range of over 500 km, with a MIDC-certified range of up to 665 km, supports 120 kW DC fast charging capable of charging from 20% to 80% in 26 minutes with 3.3 kW portable and 7.2 kW home wall-box charging. And the model is now available with both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) dual-motor configurations.

The cabin features the HorizonView triple-screen cockpit, premium comfort features, and a comprehensive suite of connected technologies and Level 2+ ADAS. The Tata Sierra.ev is available at an introductory ex-showroom price starting from ₹18.79 lakh, with the top variant priced at ₹24.79 lakh, marking Tata Motors’ latest flagship offering in India’s premium midsize electric SUV segment.

The Tata Sierra.ev made its global debut on 30 June 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) Mumbai with the launch event beginning at 4:30 PM IST and streamed live on Tata.ev’s official digital platforms. This event is mark as the unveiling of the production-spec Sierra.ev while customer bookings are also announce to with the launch. Tata Sierra EV combines the “Legend Hypercharged” character of the original Sierra with Tata Motors’ latest electric SUV modern design philosophy. And the model combines heritage-inspired styling with contemporary design elements, delivering a rugged yet sophisticated appearance while maintaining a strong road presence and improved aerodynamic efficiency. The SUV also features the PanoraMax Sunroof, recreating the signature expansive glasshouse that made the original Sierra instantly recognizable.

The Tata Sierra.ev is available with 63 kWh and 75 kWh high-voltage Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery packs, engineered for enhanced thermal stability, durability, and long-term reliability.

Both battery packs utilize a Cell-to-Pack (CTP) architecture integrated directly into Tata Motors’ acti.ev+ platform, eliminating conventional battery modules to improve packaging efficiency, and structural rigidity.

The Tata Sierra EV battery system tuned around a 1.6C charging rate, enabling sustained high-current DC charging while minimizing cell degradation. The Sierra.ev features a high-voltage electrical architecture supporting 120 kW DC fast charging. The 75 kWh battery can recover up to 263 km of MIDC range in 15 minutes while the 63 kWh battery adds up to 238 km in the same duration.

Using a 7.2 kW AC wall box, the 63 kWh battery charges from 10% to 100% in approximately 9.3 hours while the 75 kWh battery requires around 10.7 hours. A 3.3 kW AC charger takes approximately 20 hours to 24 hours. The Sierra.ev also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) with a 3.3 kW (16A) output and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging with up to 5 kW power transfer.

The 63 kWh battery delivers a MIDC-certified range of 565 km, with a C75 real-world range of 440 – 460 km. And the 75 kWh battery offers a MIDC-certified range of 665 km with a C75 real-world range of 510 to 530 km. Tata Motors’ C75 range calculation is base on four occupants, continuous operation of the dual-zone air conditioning at 22°C, a 35°C ambient temperature, and a 60:40 city-to-highway driving cycle.

The Sierra.ev also features an intelligent Liquid Thermal Management System with a high-efficiency heat pump which help to maintain battery efficiency and driving range across varying climatic conditions. The Sierra.ev is compact Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) with hair-pin winding technology for higher efficiency and power density.

The Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) configuration is power by a 238 PS (175 kW) rear motor producing 340 Nm of torque, while the Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) variant adds a 140 PS (103 kW) front motor generating 164 Nm. Together, the dual-motor system produces a combined 504 Nm of torque.

The intelligent Front Axle Disconnect system automatically disengages the front motor during steady cruising to improve efficiency while Boost Mode enables the Sierra.ev to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. The dashboard is now comes in the HorizonView triple-screen setup, comprising a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch front passenger display.

Well, the Sierra EV uses Tata Motors’ Ultra Glide Suspension engineered to deliver a comfortable ride over uneven roads while maintaining stability at highway speeds. The SUV uses an independent front suspension and an independent multi-link rear suspension, while its intelligent Terrain Modes optimize power delivery and vehicle dynamics across Sand, Snow, Mud, and Rock surfaces for improved capability.
