On 21 May 2026, the new-generation BYD Atto 3 is launch in China. This model is now coming with sharper Dragon Face styling, slimmer lights, hidden door handles, and fresh premium cabin. This upgraded rear-wheel-drive Atto 3 offers 57.5 kWh and 68.5 kWh Blade batteries that produces power upto 322 hp.

Exterior Design & Dimensions
This new upcoming BYD Atto 3 looks more transparent and sharper with slimmer LED headlamps, flatter nose, hidden-style door handles, and full-width rear light bar. In term of size the model is 4,665 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, and 1,675 mm tall with 2,770 mm wheelbase. This sizing and exterior look make it eye catching and more modern than previous version.
Battery, Range, & Performance
Here comes the twist, this Next Gen BYD Atto 3 has rear-wheel drive (RWD) that look more exciting. And with 57.5 kWh or 68.5 kWh Blade Battery packs that generates 200 kW (268 hp) or 240 kW (322 hp) power. BYD claims 540 km to 630 km CLTC range which is possible with Blade Batteries and BYD New flash charging technology. This complete setup not just offer better output or silent driving but it also offers smooth and comfort performance.
Interior & Tech Features
Inside this Atto 3 feels far more premium with a larger touchscreen, updated DiLink software, two-spoke steering wheel, and column gear selector. And main highlights are heated and ventilated seats, heated steering, 50W wireless charging, panoramic HUD, 16-speaker audio, refrigerated storage, rear drawers, and powered relaxation passenger seat. The New Gen BYD Atto 3 looks good mixture of comfort quality and modern technology.
Suspension, Riding, & Comfort Features
BYD also work on comfort with driving, by fitting MacPherson strut suspension at the front and five-link independent rear setup you will already get that. Higher trims gain DiSus-C adaptive damping for smoother ride quality. Launch Update
The BYD officially reveal this third-generation Atto 3 which will be sold as the Yuan Plus in China on 21 May 2026. This New Gen BYD Atto 3 is available in four variants in all market. And for global markets including India, BYD has not yet confirm an official launch timeline for this updated model. But sources and media reports are claiming that this upgraded version will arrive by early 2027 in India.
Pricing
At the Beijing Auto China 2026 Show, the BYD Company also avail the pricing of this Atto 3 Electric SUV. As reports the pricing starts with 119,900 yuan which is almost ₹16.86 lakh in India for base variant and for higher variant pricing is 149,900 yuan i.e. approx. ₹21.08 lakh in India.
This new BYD Atto 3 looks like major step towards evolving future SUVs.
