Hyundai New i20 Facelift Seen Testing in Europe. New 4th Gen i20 likely to have more stylish looks, feature rich cabin, ADAS Safety, etc. upgrades.
Hyundai sales more than 1.3 million i20 Cars globally and out of which 850,000 units are sold in India. By this you must have got clear idea that the Hyundai i20 plays key role in Hyundai’s lineup. Now Hyundai Motor Company is working on new facelift of i20 in sharper exterior styling, better improved tech, and boost in safety. So, now Hyundai i20 is not just premium feature-rich option in hatchback segment, but it is more value for money car under price segment of ₹13 lakh.

The Hyundai i20 Facelift currently spied testing in Europe which clears hints that the Hyundai is getting ready to launch new fourth generation i20 hatchback car. Reports claim that the Hyundai i20 Facelift likely to debut globally in late 2026 and will likely to arrive in India by 2027.

When come to price, there may be little hike in price for which reasons are modern features, new design, more premium interior, and ADAS like safety upgrades. And most likely pricing of this model will fall between ₹6 lakh to ₹13 lakh.
Design & Styling
When come to looks Hyundai always given most stylish cars globally. And i20 is already counted in these stylish cars with that affordable budget. This new fourth generation i20 facelift will have more sharper aggressive design with redesign front grille, sleek LED headlamps, and high-mounted DRLs. The front bonnet and bumpers give sportier look, giving the hatchback more premium and futuristic road presence.
When come to size, the Hyundai i20 Facelift compact is 3995 mm length, 1775 mm width, and 2580 mm wheelbase gives it taller upright stance with new alloy wheels, sharper window lines, tail-lamps, and bumper styling the car becomes more bold and stylish.

Engine, Gearbox, & Mileage
Hyundai will continue with engine, yes with lots of media sources reports this new i20 Facelift will have no change in engine. With 1.2L petrol engine + CVT / manual and 1.0L turbo petrol (N Line) + MT / DCT, the car will same performance and mileage. But with spy shot images and European auto experts reports, the i20 may get its new futuristic vision of hybrid engine.
This complete engine setup gives output of 83 – 88 PS (≈82 – 87 bhp) power and 115 Nm torque. Not just power and performance but model will likely to have similar mileage between 17 to 21 kmpl. And if hybrid upgrade rumour is true, then mileage may extend to 27 kmpl.
Interior, Suspension, & Comfort
With all other upgrades, the Hyundai is also updating interior with more modern and premium updates. These upgrades also include new dual-screen setup, along with other features such as a 7-speaker sound system, an electric sunroof, wireless charger, and lot more new premium features inside cabin which make it more comfortable and easy for drivers and passenger.
Coming to the suspension setup, i20 facelift will likely to continue soft and tuned for comfort suspension by using MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. And this complete setup gives better handling and smooth riding in almost every road. All these features with more comfort seats, better quality material, and other luxury comfort.
Safety Features
Well, the Hyundai i20 already hold the comprehensive safety suits like 6 standard airbags (frontal, side, and curtain) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). But this time the model is upgrading with driver-assistance features, including a 360-degree camera and ADAS suite. So, this new facelift will give more confidence in driving with safer driving.
With this new facelift of i20, the Hyundai is not just casually upgrading but this time it is ahead in the premium hatchback space of Indian Market.
