FY 2026 Electric 3W Sales Out, 8.3 lakh units with YoY growth of 18.87%. Mahindra, Bajaj, TVS, Aahana, Saera, & other brands sales data is here. Rural or Urban whose 3W sales are high.
The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) releases Vehicle Retail Data For FY 2026. As per the data, electric three-wheelers cross 8.30 lakh units that means 3W sales hold big share of 60.95% in the FY 2026. This also shows a 18.87% growth which is huge. But does this mean 3 Wheelers are the main choice for daily transport and small business use.

Mahindra & Bajaj Lead market
Through the above table, this is already clear that Mahindra Group lead in Electric 3 Wheelers sales with 1,01,873 units which is ahead of Bajaj Auto that has sales of 89,604 units. But if you clearly see this data there is a twist, when you talk about growth then Bajaj Auto leads with a higher increase of 76.21% comparing to Mahindra’s 46.41% growth. So, Mahindra is ahead in total units but Bajaj is growing faster.

Other With High Growth
Well, as you can see electric three wheelers market is on rise and thing is not because of these two brands. Some brands are also growing like TVS Motors Sales 27,831 units with a huge positive growth of 1540.98%, Zeniak Innovation also have growth of +100.76% with 16,055 units, and like this Aahana and Hooghly are also growing quickly. As whole the data shows many smaller and newer brands are increasing their sales in units.
Which 3 Wheelers Facing Decline in Sales?
This is very common in market that sales of brands decline. The tables also shows the decline in many Electric 3W Retail Sales. Brands like YC Electric sold 36,807 units but drop growth by -17.52% while Saera Electric fell to 22,845 units with -19.08% growth. Not only this, Piaggio has also a sharp fall of -25.81% and a few others also has small declines. But they may grow in next year with new market strategy.
Electric 3W Category Wise Sales & Growth
Electric Three Wheeler are divided in five main category. Here are sales and growth category wise update, the E-Rickshaw (Passenger) sales 4,77,897 units with +0.71% growth while E-Rickshaw (Goods) has growth of +32.96% with 86,384 units.
Other 3W Passenger lead with 6,55,953 units (+17.62%), 3W Goods at 1,41,595 units (+15.43%). The 3W Personal segment has small units sales of 1,583 but has highest growth of +61.20%.
Rural or Urban Sales
Another surprising data sales report is coming, the FY 2026 data shows that there is high growth of three-wheeler in rural than compare to urban. Yes, the urban sales has hike of 6.06% on the other hand 16.68% of hike in rural sales. So, having a difference of 11.68% growth means rural markets plays a key role in 3 Wheelers demand.
Expectation With Next Year FY2027 Sales
This is almost clear that the Electric 3W sales are likely to grow in FY2027 in both units and YoY%. The reason is simple EV market is growing and people are also shifting towards it. As per sources and media reports, 57% share already achieved in FY’26. Many inside market reports are also assuming that Electric 3W will remain the fastest-growing and most demanding EV segment in India.
