The company appears focus on building early demand for flex-fuel motorcycles and encourage customers to try a new technology. Since commuter bike buyers are highly sensitive to pricing, this reduce in the upfront cost will help Hero to attract more customers and create awareness about ethanol-power mobility.
E20 to E85 Compatibility
To make the motorcycles compatible with ethanol-rich fuels, Hero modifies 36 components compare to the standard petrol-power versions. And key upgrades include an ethanol-resistant fuel pump, a new secondary fuel filter, upgraded fuel system components, and a recalibrated Engine Control Unit (ECU). These changes allow both motorcycles to operate seamlessly on fuel blends ranging from E20 to E85.
New Ethanol Engine Power & Performance
Well, the both motorcycles likely to use same 97.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with adaption for flex-fuel operation. When running on E85 fuel, the engine produces 8.4 bhp and 8.3 Nm of torque. Compare to the standard petrol versions, this represents an increase of approximately 0.5 bhp and 0.3 Nm that offers a slight but noticeable improvement in everyday performance.
According to Hero MotoCorp, the use of E85 ethanol fuel results in measurable performance benefits. The company claims up to 7% higher peak power output and around 3% more torque compared to operation on conventional petrol blends. So, this hike demonstrate that flex-fuel technology is not solely focus on sustainability but also contributes to improved engine performance.
Flex Fuel Models New Design
Hero introduces several visual changes to distinguish the flex-fuel motorcycles from their regular counterparts. Both Splendor+ & HF Deluxe models feature a black colour scheme, lime-yellow graphics, exclusive Flex Fuel branding, and a new digi-analogue instrument cluster. These updates give the motorcycles fresh identity while retaining the familiar styling of the Splendor and HF Deluxe families.

As a result, these motorcycles now stand as practical, future-ready alternatives rather than experimental offerings which will give Hero’s ethanol mobility strong push and more convincing than before.
