After the strong success of its electric SUVs, Mahindra is now ready to enter into the strong hybrid technology through the XEV9E Hybrid. This model is likely to launch in 2028, this SUV expected to use a 1.5-litre petrol engine as a range extender while the electric motor powers the wheels. With an expected price range ₹23 lakh to ₹35 lakh model will carry features like AWD setup, Level-2+ ADAS, panoramic roof, triple-screen dashboard, and high driving range.

In 2025 reports claiming that the Mahindra is working on range-extender technology for future SUVs is out. And after few months, the Mahindra XEV9E Hybrid becomes talk of the Town. Sources are also claiming that it may come with output 220-280 bhp and 380 Nm torque that offers quick acceleration and smooth performance. And the higher price is mainly due to the addition of a 1.5-litre petrol range-extender system, extra engineering, and hybrid-related components.
