Tata Motors just launched all New 2026 Tiago EV with fresh sporty design, upgraded cabin, and bigger focus on smart electric mobility in India. With starting price of ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this updated hatchback now offers larger 24 kWh battery pack with claimed 285 km MIDC driving range and 30 kW fast charging which gives 100 km range in just 18 minutes.

Tiago EV Launched 2026
Well, the officially teasing of Tiago EV Facelift starts in May 2026 after that exterior was reveal on 22 May 2026. After that, updated EV was later spotted during a TV commercial shoot in Mumbai on 25 May. As per live updates, the Tata Tiago EV is now officially launched on 28 May 2026. And pre-booking started and fast development with locally assembled clears that model will reach very soon at nearby showrooms.

This new electric hatchback comes with more modern and sharper exterior featuring sleek LED headlamps, eyebrow-style DRLs, and closed front grille. Tata also adds connected LED tail-lamps, redesigned bumpers, and new 15-inch aero-style wheels to enhance its sporty road presence.

You will likely to get 6 color options which are Dehradun Dew, Sobo Surge, Pangong Pulse, Matheran Monsoon, Pure Grey and Pristine White. As it is a compact hatchback, this model is of 3,769 mm in length and has 2,400 mm wheelbase that gives 166 mm ground clearance. The 2026 Tata Tiago EV comes with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack options that delivers claimed MIDC range of 226 km and 285 km. Reports also claim that Tata upgrades 40% faster charging with the 30 kW DC fast charger that takes the battery from 10% to 80% in nearly 35 minutes which means you can run upto 100 km range in just 18 minutes by just few minutes charge.
Coming to output, the electric hatchback produces up to 75 hp and 114 Nm torque that speeds from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. That’s not all, you also get top speed upto 120 kmph. Another best thing about this model is that Tata also offers IP67 battery protection and lifetime unlimited-kilometre warranty for the 24 kWh version.

Here comes the another important factor, in this new model you will see completely redesign premium cabin with a dual-tone grey and black interior theme, textured dashboard finish and gloss-black detailing for a more modern feel. Tech features like 10.25-inch floating HD touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay with a fully digital driver display showing EV battery information is also available.

Well, the Tiago EV uses MacPherson strut front suspension with dual-path struts and a rear twist-beam setup that are specially tuned to manage the added battery weight. This model rides on 14-inch wheels with 175/65 tyres and 33 PSI pressure, the hatchback feels slightly firm at low speeds but remains absorbent on rough city roads. And the low-mounted battery improves balance and high-speed stability which allow confident highway cruising and has smooth cornering performance with controlled body roll.
Brake & Safety Features
Coming to safety and braking, this EV uses front disc and rear drum brakes supported by ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and corner stability control for improved braking confidence. Tata also adds six airbags across all variants, along with TPMS, Hill Hold Assist, traction control, and a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitoring.
And the electric hatchback also gets 4-level regenerative braking, IP67-rated battery protection, and an automatic high-voltage battery cut-off system that instantly disconnects power during an accident for added passenger safety.

The most important factor is affordability of this electric car. Well, the pricing starts with ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹9.99 lakh for the top-spec 24 kWh Creative+ variant. Tata also introduces Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model that lowers the initial purchase price to ₹4.69 lakh. This means buyers need to pay ₹2.60 per kilometre for battery usage which all make EV ownership more budget-friendly for daily city buyers. The 19 kWh Pure+ variant priced at ₹8.49 lakh and the larger 24 kWh Pure+ version costs ₹9.49 lakh.
