MG Majestor ready to battle with Toyota Fortuner with 215PS powerful engine, bigger Size and more features under expected price of ₹40-50 lakh.
JSW MG Motor India is launching new flagship SUV Majestor on 20 April. This New Majestor is upgraded then MG Gloster which look like a challenge to Fortuner with similar price range of ₹40 to ₹50 lakh. MG Majestor is position in new D+ segment as it is tallest, widest, and longest vehicle in the category.
In short, the Majestor has 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215PS and 478Nm, along with advanced 4×4 capability and luxury focus interiors. Buyers who want more space, tech and comfort than what the Fortuner currently offers has a new model option now.
Price & Launch Update
Outlook of MG Majestor shows this model is direct rival of Fortuner this means pricing of the model is also expected between ₹40 lakh and ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and drivetrain options.
As per official of JSW MG Motor India Pvt., the MG Majestor launching is confirm in India on 20th April 2026 and deliveries are also expected to begin from May 2026. And Pre-reservations are already open with a booking amount of ₹41,000.

Exterior & Interior Design
Majestor main outlook is its size. With 5046 mm in length, 2016 mm in width and 1870 mm in height, with a long 2950 mm wheelbase, making it bigger than the Fortuner in every direction. Runs on large 265/55 R19 tyres which improve road presence and stability.
Exterior design also include Dragon Eye DRLs, tri-beam LED headlamps, connected tail lamps and dual exhaust, giving it a more modern and bold look then compare to the Fortuner’s rugged styling.
Coming to interior, the MG Majestor has a 12.3-inch HD portrait infotainment screen and a fully digital cluster with a modern cabin feel. You get 6-seat and 7-seat layouts, unlike the Toyota Fortuner which is more traditional.
Front seats come with ventilation and 8-mode massage and also get 12 way power adjustment. You also get 3-zone climate control, 64-colour ambient lighting and a panoramic Galaxy roof, making it clearly more comfort-focus than the Fortuner.

Engine, Transmission, & Mileage
MG Majestor is power with 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque. And it has 8-speed automatic gearbox which give smooth driving in comparison to Fortuner’s 6-speed unit.
Not only this, the 2WD and 4WD options make Majestor more easy to drive in city as well as off road. This also improves mileage as per sources this car may have mileage upto 13 km per litre that means with 75-litre fuel tank you can drive 800 km in one go.
Safety & Other Thing to Check
This car includes safety features such as 6 airbags, EPB, Level 2 ADAS, 360 Degree camera & more. The official Global NCAP or Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) Safety Test are not done but have these features already proves it safety strength. Other tech features like 75 connected car features such as remote controls, tracking and voice commands clearly make it more tech friendly than the Fortuner.
